On the bench today is a very nice Fender Pro. As soon as the amp comes out of standby there is a crackling paper sound which randomly continues. Chop stick test produced nothing. All tubes were swapped in and out individually with new ones, no change. Mercury Mag replacement OT was installed about 1 year ago. Filter caps are all Sprague Atoms of which I lifted one end of each cap individually, no change. Individually jumped out 2w carbon comp resistors in the dropping string, no change. All carbon comp plate load resistors were changed.
New power switch was installed to replace fauly one, recently. Temporarily swapped in a new standby switch, no change. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Re: Brown Fender Pro 6G5 crackle pop
Sometimes a bad or loose tube socket can cause this symptom. Have you tried to re-tension or clean the pin holders on the sockets? I have heard of this helping with intermittent crackling noises. Might not be the problem, but it is something easy to try first.
