Treble bleed

Post by angelodp »

Can anyone point to an example of an ODS amp that has the treble bleed circuit ( Gil's design ) setup with the pot on the front face or a trimmer post, like the BN amps had for the pre-OD trimmer on the rear.

Thanks Andy, good info. I have that set-up going on my amp so I am wondering if there are any examples of an amp that has that trimmer available from the exterior. There has been some conversation about the need to change hat setting with varying guitars and speakers, so it seems that an internal pot will necessitate removing the chassis.

There's no reason that you cannot implement a trimmer/pot however you like (schematic vs layout).

Examples:

You could mount a trim pot such that it is accessible only with a tweaker-size screw driver (from either front or back).

or

You could mount a pot such that it is accessible from under the chassis (ala Fender hum balance or bias adjustment).
