Anyone here own a tek 465B scope?

I've got an opportunity to acquire one, and wondered whether anyone could tell me how they found theirs? TIA Pete

I have a tek 464. They are very similar, if not equal for our purposes. Given the capabilities of this unit, it's almost an insult to use them for audio frequencies. Great equipment. These old analog scopes are like digital ones with indefinite processor speed.

I freaking love mine. :D

Just make sure it works and that the screen is bright enough for the faster settings. If the screen has a lot of hours on it, the screen brightness goes down. But most people will never use the faster settings anyway with guitar amps, so it's not super relevant.

Did I say that I love mine? :D

I've got a 465B with the DMM option. I bought it off ebay 3-4 years ago for around $300 from a guy who refurbishes them. I leave it powered up at least 8 hours a day. I rely on it heavily and have had zero issues with it whatsoever. It's become like an old trustworthy friend. The DMM measures spot-on with my calibrated Fluke 87 too. If you have the opportunity to acquire one - acquire it!

Funny you mention the 465b - I just posted some pics of scope shots using a 465b

I'm new to scopes, but found mine on Ebay at a low price. Included the DMM option and a snan-on bag tha contained the manual and about 10 probes. I did some research before I bought it, and found most reviews said the 465B was a very good commercial scope, top of the line in the day. I'm still learning how to use, but once you get the feel for the controls, it's pretty easy to dial in a good view.
