Eminence Maverick - Variable Sensitivity Speaker

Post by Alexo »

Anyone seen this?

The million dollar question is: Is it a good sounding speaker, variable output aside?
Life is a tale told by an idiot -- full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

...in other words: rock and roll!

Looks cool, I'd love to hear from someone who's used one too.

I did see one and talked to the Eminence guys. Very nice and helpful, even offered me dealer pricing. I asked about it and as I guessed it is a variable pole piece, which reduces efficiency. However, I did not get to hear one as they were not hooked up. I did try out the ones they had in running with a Fuchs amp. I really liked the Wizard 12.
