Wreck, Dumble cross-over

Post by telentubes »

I'm wondering if there are builders out there who have their feet in both camps featured on TAG. Anyone building Wrecks AND Dumbles?

I started with the Express then the Rocket the two A/B sound great together.
I feel lucky that I built the TW amps when exact parts were obtainable.
Next step Dumble ODS-100 #124, #102, #183. I’m now sold on the Dumbles
The Dumble amps are a huge learning curve. After a year I’m starting to get it.

Good luck with your quest.

You're getting it faster than me then, I'm about 6-7 years in and still learning.

Mostly for me i build the wrecks, and know more details about them. I have built the Dumble too, but i built one, played it, then i think i have a little part from 70's 80's and 90's thrown in.
Just added a few twists that i liked,or thought the standard circuit wasn't giving. Mostly gave it more top to bottom range. But i build many different amps besides those.
