Yeah, that's a good 'un. I recently did a SLO100 with the same boards and referenced that build log many times!
Re: SLO Anybody?
Has anyone compared the SLO clone next to a Soldano SLO?
I hardly use my SLO and wouldn't mind freeing up $4k, but I don't want to move it unless I can keep the tone. I'm curious how close the Iron and Circuit sound to the original. I'd also be curious to hear it compared to a Peavey 5150.

WOW, What a build. I am just floored at how meticulous everything was laid out and assembled. A+++ work. If I would have soldered 1 contact inside that bright white chassis, it would have been a mess. How the hell do they do it? Hopefully someday I will be able to do work of that caliber. Freakin sweet!
Re: SLO Anybody?
Another build was posted on TGP recently with amazing quality. Something to look up to thats for sure (for me at least being another paint by numbers guy trying to learn from others' good work).

Re: SLO Anybody?
Guess what! A few years ago when I was looking to improve the O/D 'channel in my old PV classic 30, I came up with a "C30 SLO100 mod". Schematic here: http://www.blueguitar.org/new/schem/pea ... lo_mod.pdf
Basically I changed the preamp first four stages like this, and left everything else after that point as stock C30. (Mr Ahola subsequently adapted this idea for one of his crate mods)
Anyway here's a clip of the beast with the SLO100 mod (played through my US strat) FWIW. The speaker is an old Alnico Bulldog reconditioned to a '35W' rating with a new celestion cone and a 2" kapton voice coil

Huh. Did you have the gain maxed out? Versions I've made were way more dirty. Change any values? Still sounds good.tubeswell wrote:Guess what! BC Audio #7
This just amazes me, neat it good, but this takes it to town! He is getting really cool reviews too. By the way. I was checking out your myspace dynaman, I can't stop showing people the stuff you build, I've never seen stuff so cool. I went straight to the back shed to fish out an old tool box to start dreaming...
