pin 3 is AWFULLY close to pin 2. thankfully i always use 100r artificial center tap resistors because I've sorted pins 2 and 3 with my meter lead before :roll:

I was thinking from the perspective of oscillation, but yes, it’s all too easy for a regular probe tip to slip off a valve socket terminal and risk nasty shorts.
I think it’s good practice to use suitable clip on probe adapters, and ideally / especially for inexperienced, clip them in place before powering up.
