at the end what iron, PT OT and choke did you used ?
I 'll plan the same project in france

Thanks
Hi
I used some stuff I had on hand
ClassicTone Vibrolux 40 watt PT and OT and a Hammond 194e 30H choke
If/when I were to do it again, I might consider the TDS iron if available or
have some made closer to specs of original iron.

Well I got a partial kit from a TAG member and Ceriatone transformer set from another TAG member so mine is all Ceriatone. Some are using iron from West amps.

Are you guys using dual 5U4 rectos?

Hi Mark
forgot that Ceriatone has the iron for this...duh...
I'm using a single GZ34, kinda like the SS rect a little more...focus

Currently I have the single GZ34 but I'm going to try the dual 5U4 for shits and giggles and see how that souds.

Yeah it was funny how I started this amp, I bought the tranny set from a TAG member to use for low watt ODS build and actually started on that. These trannys fit the CE chassis cutouts perfectly. But then another TAG member said he wanted to sell his Dizzy 30 kit minus transformers so I bought that and finished it.

Took the Dizzy 30 trannys out of the CE chassis.

The Ceriatone PT specs are

285-0-285 200mA
6.3v CT 5A
5v 4A

OT4k 175mA 4/8/16

Choke is 10h 150mA

Thanks Mark
I see why I had to lower the voltage of the 325-0-325 Vibrolux
iron I used.
