According to what I have read Kurt didn't use the Twin for Nevermind, but on In Utero and it was a UL model that you probably never hear a cranked sound from because of the stompboxes he uses for distorted sounds : http://www.kurtsequipment.com/

But you may know something different, I just like to set the record straight because otherwise I'm walking around thinking things like that Townshend used a 3X10 Bandmaster on a lot of Who's Next, but can't find a source and don't know where I heard it and have no idea if it's true or not.
