Another FYI, this time DALE!
Ok, so new resistors came in, still from the old part number order. The 1 watt 1 ohm Vishay Dale's that I ordered for bias resistors came in with "DALE" printed on the resistor body..........and they are in fact the same tiny size as these "vishay/bc" resistors. So the smaller size is not limited to the BC type.

I just received a Vishay/BC "5watt" resistor that is about the size of a 1watt cc. It's listed as wirewound. They didn't have the rectangular xicon in the value I was looking for.

If it says "Vintage" on it, -it isn't.

AC05 from Phoenix do Brasil, now replaced by ROHS-compliant models from Draloric.I just received a Vishay/BC "5watt" resistor that is about the size of a 1watt cc. It's listed as wirewound.
