I'm guessing they get the film from Japan. Components are short everywhere right now.

That's a pity, I hope they can get their act together. Hopefully the issue is out of their hands instead of being their fault..

Update

My caps shipped!
I should have them in the next few days
Lisa followed up on my emails and phone calls
Seems like they are now slowly catching up with all the backlog and working 24/7 to do it

Just wanted to let everyone know that I finally had some satisfaction.
Hate to see small business suffer

Cheers

I got an email from Lisa this morning saying she was still waiting for 0.68uF caps. When I originally ordered (early April), I said to ship when the order was complete. I'm not in a hurry though as I still have some caps in reserve. I've had only positive experiences with Sozo. Customer service and response to emails has been good.

In my opinion, good communication is key.
Most people won't object to waiting (if it isn't too long) but they must be kept in the loop, not the dark.

When nobody answers emails or the consumer is not told that something is out of stock, then they get irritated and rightfully so.

Yeah, that about sums up nearly every experience I've had with a certain vendor that supplies blank chassis and board related stuff. I'm now in the habit of emailing about stock, but this outfit's delivery date is NEVER what's promised.

OK, dynaman, who is the certain vendor? I would like to avoid repeating your experience.

Yeah. I know it's been discussed before and I'd rather not drag it up again cuz many folks have had good experiences with them and do they do offer great stuff. However, my orders with that vendor usually turn into a surreal exchange of phone calls, emails, misunderstandings, non-stocked items, missed shipping dates, incomplete orders....

I prolly shouldn't have even mentioned it. I do believe they are an honest biz - just kind of unorganized (as I am also).

I'll still encourage you to give them your business but I'd also recommend contacting them about stock availability before ordering.
