I found two shots of Audio Guild amps [FWIW]
They show the extra chamber [sometimes used to mount a tweeter?]

Looks like it is intended to be a sealed cabinet - they may have the "extra chamber" to accommodate the length of the chassis while preserving the optimum cavity volume for the speaker.
