I for one would like to build a jazz archtop with a carbon top...
Anyways, I can see how useful it would be to build a super-lightweight cab because a LOT of an amp's weight is in the cab, the rest being the speaker's magnets and the amp irons.
You can use Neo magnets, and toroidal irons.
As of now, there is not much you can do about the cab weight
