Rack mounted and with true bypass is o.k. I guess. The new Line 6 crap (slightly OT) with a digital front end and a tube amp is just dumb IMHO. Oh, how cool... all the drawbacks of tubes (heat and massive power consumption) combined with the drawbacks of digital (doesn't tolerate heat or voltage fluctuations). Sounds like a winner to me!Voodoo_Man wrote:I confess. I own some modeling boxes. Ones in a rack (where it belongs in my opinion) and has uses. But I don't use it to imitate a tube amp. I plug it into one. Built in dfx just doesn't appeal to my tastes. I'm to old to change. How can an imitation sound as good as the real thing anyway?
Red Herring????
