Brian, what type of amp did you use for the listening amp
It's VERY cool that this setup has already proved its worth. I had a feeling that Dave brought us something very useful
mlp-mx6 asked
"Does that little amp have a blocking cap on the input? "
he do.......I followed the trace from the input jack on the PCB to the first resistor. I severed the trace and installed the .1 650v OC and 1M pot over the gap. It works great.

That's true if you're just troubleshooting. As Dave said, you can do "some very serious tone shaping," as well. The stereo amp, being more linear, should give you a truer re-production of the tone of the test amp. I was just curious as to what size amp had worked for you. Until about a year ago, I had a couple of older stereo amps stored in my garage. They would have been perfect, however, they fell victim to a clean out Now, I've got to look for one on ebay
Thanks for the info

I accept yo' challenge, Suh (In my best Southern accent, while twisting my long, white handlebar mustache). At least, I can keep it small. I think I'll try a mono kit and use some monitor speakers I've already got. Thanks for sharing that link
