I've been using them almost exclusively for about 2 1/2 to 3 years. I have never had a failure and I think they sound closer to the vintage Mallory filters as opposed to F&Ts in a Fender circuit. Plus my wallet likes them too. Also, they are smaller than a lot of other offerings so they fit in smaller spaces.

If you do find that your chasing down the issue into the tremolo circuit just note that there are two different schematics for these amps and the difference is in the tremolo circuit.

I don't think I've seen a different schematic... Can you post the differences?

I would think since the speed pot does not affect your warble effect, the tremolo circuit should be eliminated from the suspect list. But you can prove it to everyone by pulling V6.

Here’s the difference in the two trem circuits.
The 15 meg from pin 1 to 3 which I guess is applying feedback.

Could you post that entire schematic?

Thanks. The 15M looks like a band aid of sorts. That resistor is also present on the 1485 schematics.

Sadly neither schematic shows a revision date.

Pulled V6... that is not the source.

I would like to ask you to check what your ac ripple voltage is starting at the first preamp power supply node and if it’s going up and down, or if it’s steady and report back on what you find.

Will do when I get it back on the bench again...
