Thanks for catching that cab dimension, rp! At this point, maybe I'll consider building my own box. I spent the day helping my violin/cello/guitar builder friend start his first amp build in his work shop so can easily hit him up for some woodcutting (or more likely, MDF cutting) and spent my high school summers laminating particle board to earn spending money so I can cover them no problem. And no, Leo_Gnardo, the speaker can be a bit bigger than the birdhouses. I'll still have my powered Klipsch best buy speakers right next to the computer, with the 3-3 speaker a few feet away, a sort of centerpiece to my living room.
