Rockerverb MkII experiences?

Yeah, I always figured you can play as loud as you want anytime as long as it's under 5 minutes. It's not really enough time for neighbors to make sense of what's going on.

Is that express written consent? It looks like it.
What do you think about the loading on the master side? Not sure what would be optimal. It works though. I think I just found a great way to make $400 with the Rockerverb Hendrix Mod.
Yeah. 2 minutes and a trimmer. -yawn-

Re: Rockerverb MkII experiences?
Are you talking about the resistor you added on the top leg of the master? Is your master pot 500KA as it is? I would keep it so the total load is 500K. I'm surprised the amp is woofy with that small first and second stage coupling cap. How much NFB do you have at the moment?
I'm curious to see what you think of the plate driven stack overall. I know Splawn use them as well with good results. Probably easier to get crappy tones than with the CF driven stack, which is pretty much dummy proof with its subtle range

Re: Rockerverb MkII experiences?
Using 1M with a 1M over the outer lugs so I could cheat it in. My values are all different. Nothing mixed or biased as in the schematic.
It isn't woofy at all. Couplers are much bigger in my preamp too. 2.7/.68u stages coupled 6n8, 22n, 22n. Last stage 9k7 feeding TS. It has the 220n/100k PI and all interstage mixers are 470k splits. It's brighter than it was. Not brighter though.. clear and harmonic.
It HAS to have the resistance between the treble and master. That is the key to volume without it cleaning up as it gets louder. A MUST. Gotta. That was my bitch about the Orange. Turn it up and it sounds like a Twin mixed parallel with a distorted radio.
Everything started sounding the same so I gave up for tonight and started to put it all back as it was until I can make up another board. The amp was open and upside down with B+ flying. :O
I love it. It is, understated, VERY EFFING ANGRY.moderate the treble and it's a fusion legato machine. I have to get it worked out and hit it with some real volume. It's not too far from an Express with a big ass and LOTS of bad stuff to say about my mother, except with a much smoother delivery. I hope I am not dreaming. (should be ya know)

Re: Rockerverb MkII experiences?
tone stack values I decided
Mid still at 25k but thinking. with the 50k it needs a 1000p from mid center to ground. either works to taste.

Re: Rockerverb MkII experiences?
Nope! Just stripped the whole front end out so I wouldn't die or burn up my guitars trying to get t3h soundz. B+ makes a dangerous teepee and it's noisy as all hell with the amp open to the RF.
I did discover what it is very much like. It's like a Splawn but with variable slope and resonance. You can't make anything new cause there aint nothing new. This amp cleans up way better and gets dirtier, that's probably all the differences except my amp is all mustards and awesomeness and looks like a million year old spaceship. Ehh..
He even uses the tone stack I ended up with. No sheep.

Why'd you let me doo dat?!!
Round 3 tomorrow. Got a gain drain. I am gonna love the tone stack with slope control on this one.

I swear. Damnit. Buzzing like a hive and what did I do? Swapped it all back to where it was and what did it do? Still buzzes! I ordered Chinese 6 times today because I kept throwing my chopsticks in the water hazards..
I might start drinking again.
OMG!! That's it!! Submerge the amp in water. I know water makes a great sheild! BRB
