The Hifi guys sometimes use SS devices at some points in their tube circuits but I don't generally see them using them as PIs. Many PIs in guitar amps can reach clipping so how SS clipping will sound/act as a guitar PI may need to be considered.
If it says "Vintage" on it, -it isn't.

Musicmans are great amps and most people want the ones with the tube PIs.
