I'm not sure what it takes. I dropped the cat R to 180R. That dropped my overall output to 0.75 watts. Then I dropped the screen resistor from 25K to 1K, and after that change my plate voltage was down to 220v, and I'm going in the wrong direction.

I'm not seeing signs that the PT is sagging. My B+ is 295v, and it does not sag under load. In fact, the voltage rises as volume increases.

Is it correct to think that I should be able to get more than 1 watt out of a SE 6V6 with 272v on the plate?
