thanks for all the comments, for now I'm just going to adjust the bias hotter and get used to the amp and enjoy it before I do any mods.That way I'll be more likely to notice the mod changes.

interesting link there. I wonder if that poster would've found his tone with a solid state rectifier and 6L6's.

My goodness, I'm just loving this amp more and more. I think I'll just leave it stock and keep on enjoying it the way it is. I can really see now why so many people love these amps.
