Hey, Mark, two-cent advice here, for recording: turn off AGC (auto gain control), set the recording level lower so it doesn't clip when you're playing loudest, and mount the recorder on a mic stand positioned at a point in space off axis where the amp sounds best to your ear (not like a SM57 right on the grille).

Can't wait to hear!

Congrats Mark
Great looking build.
Few questions if I may
Does it have any clean tones?
Is the passive loop working good?
I'm going to start a similar build based on this.
I'm thinking about drilling an extra hole and squeezing a tube loop in it.

Darin

Darin, thanks my dog Petey was a great friend.

Yes the amp has clean tones plenty.

I think there is room for improvement with the passive loop. The reverb pedal can get driven a little too hard with more gain added to the preamp.

Currently this amp is the most requested by the locals,

I like the amp but once again while I don't seem to love it, the local guys do and they get some great tone out of it. I'm switching to keyboard.

Did anyone else build one of these?
