Grab & go: Telecaster with a "65 Deluxe Reverb & TS9

Rock/Blues, etc: Red Plate hi-plate with mods/ d'lator~Intellifex -> Demeter 2x12 from the '80s, or 1x 12 tuned/ported G12K-80, JBL G125, or Vintage30 (which sounds way more balanced when properly loaded in a tuned cabinet....)

Test speakers are Altec 417C x2 is Dumble style vertical oval-hole....incredible standard to compare to others; also a TL806/EMV12L in the mix..

I like threads like these, also.

I'm always playing around and switching things up to try and use more of what I have, but it seems I keep coming back to:

My (2006) maple necked Eric Johnson Fender Strat (modded to have the option with a push/push knob of adding the Neck pickup in series for surprisingly sweet and useful humbucker options)

into my Liverpool Clone and my open-backed 2x12 with a WGS Vet30 and ET65.

The Strat seems to just match the Liverpool so well like they were made for each other. I always thought Gibsons look cooler and rock harder than strats so I try to use my SG (hollowed out with a rosewood top and a Bigsby B5) whenever I can, but keep going back to the strat by at least the next set. I am appreciating that a strat is pretty cool after-all and sooo versatile for me.

A pieced together tele through a 15 Watt Rocket combo (with one Celestion Blue) for gigs, or a 50 Watt 3rd gen ODS head (with either a G1265 or a THD 2X12) for messing around (to much for the venues I play theses days, although the guitar player in the cover band I play bass in uses it in that band). I have a Gibson Howard Roberts Fusion that I run into the ODS once in a while if I want that humbucker thang.

Fantstic looking guitar, got to say i,m quite jellous
Yeah it plays great.
I believe it cost around $600 new in the late 90's.
It is a neck through design.
No veneers on this one.
I don't really care for the "vine of life" inlay on the neck but that's the way it came.
About a year ago I put Dimarzio 36th Anniversary PAF's in it.
I like those.
This guitar has a five way switch which coil splits the humbuckers for more of a
single coil tone if you want.

Schecter kind of switched into more metal guitars in the last decade.
Too bad because they made some real nice guitars before.

Country Gigs:
Tele into home-made Deluxe Reverb

Rock Gigs:
Strat into home-made JTM-45 with Bag-End 2x12 ported cab holding two EVM12L (@ 4 ohms)

Jazz Gigs:
'70's era Ibanez 2460NT archtop into home-made Deluxe Reverb

Depending on size of venue I sometimes change it up with a '93 Fender Pro series Concert, or heavily modified Fender Blues Jr, or rebuilt 1966 Fender Bassman.

Backup amp is either a rebuilt Sovtek MIG50 or Tech21 Trademark60 (solid state).

Pedals: Keeley compressor, Wampler Ecstacy, Wampler Pinnacle, Boss DD-7, Boss DD-5, Peterson Strobostomp, Keeley Phaser
