Most questions asked I tried to state in the beginning of this thread, No this is not a DIY build from scratch, however the PCB boards are basically there to hold the tube sockets and the pots, most of the original circuitry has been removed and replaced/rewired to what I am trying to achieve here, and what is that??? I started out with this Lee Jackson 50W 90’s era amp. This blew the output tranny almost immediately back @1996, this sat around for years and I finally got around to fixing and finding out why it blew in the first place. Now, there are several design flaws in the original design, most are well documented online. I set out to fix the clean channel as that never sounded well and do some minor mods on the distortion channel. Around 2 years ago I decided to rack mount this as it was possible to do that. By the way I specialize in custom rack mount audio for the recording industry so rack mount is just my thing. And I have a rack guitar rig. Not everyone is a purist and certainly I am not. Vintage guitar amplifiers I do have and leave that way. With this project I have thrown almost every considerable trick into it which is a little absurd, but it is also there to show my customers what is possible in guitar amp mods. Plus I was bored and basically experimenting.
1. Sorry about the size of my avatar
2. This project is not a joke, everyone has the right to do things that they want.
3. 96 LED array, I have a bunch of these, I plan on using them for lighting effects on the tubes. Maybe use 3 of them and do an OPAMP circuit controlling a FET to have them light and dim with the signal??? I may not use them at all? I have experimented with all kinds of crazy ideas from putting an LED in the socket of a 12AX7 to light from underneath. Look at the Carvin V3M amp, they have basically the same thing happening there. I understand that this has little effect on the sound, at least not as much as red or purple tolex!!! But I like the cool factor and my little business is Absurd Amplification anyways!
4. I am assuming the Flux capacitor is a reference to my star grounding? The grounding in the original amp was a mess. I fixed that.

Which rackmount company do you work for/own?

Nothing wrong with rack gear, it's how I set up my bass rig. The only down side, when you aren't touring and other people are moving your gear. It's HEAVY!!!

Now that we have what it is sorted out.. How does it sound?

I have Absurd amplification, this used to be Pro Stage and Studio designs. Like I said, I mostly did custom audio designs for the recording industry, i.e. Neve modules, custom audio switchers, guitar rig setups for touring, pedal boards with repair services. I do work as an electrical engineer during the day so this is my side gig. Now for how it sounds, its getting there. I really like the clean channel and still modifying the gain stages on the distortion channels. I should finish this up this weekend and off to the studio to record it.

Signatures have a 255 character limit that I could abuse, but I am not Cecil B. DeMille.

Hi Brian..welcome. Seems like you're a pretty intense designer. Definitely post some clips when you get it finished.
