Re: Who am I?
de forest fought hard to be recognized sued armstrong for years
the great radio controversy
my home stereo is rigged with two rear speakers in series between the stereo sides
to use the "hafler effect" and get quad...
based on blumlein work recording with two figure 8 microphones
dont forget that edison first discovered the diode 1883
hertz was the first to transmit 1888
flemming was the first to use a electronic device in 1904
de forests grid "triode" 1907
armstrong introduced "regeneration" making a practical radio pat. 1914
its only been 100 years from spark gap to cell phones

Is that anything like the Carver "sonic holographic field generator"?Andy Le Blanc wrote: .................

Isn't that amazing?Andy Le Blanc wrote:

Also, in that 100 years, we went from horse and buggy to the Space Shuttle.
I still think it is amazing that we landed on the moon in 1969 as primitive as the electronics were in the day.

Don't let that smoke out!

Indeed! Saw a Science Channel program describing the onboard computers being roughly equivalent to a TI-40 pocket calculator. Amazing!Structo wrote: .......... I still think it is amazing that we landed on the moon in 1969 as primitive as the electronics were in the day.

Re: Who am I?
nope ...
just two passive speakers wired +-/-+ between the ++ of the stereo sides
I was surprised it works, it makes the differential audible...
its passive so theres no vol. control, and speaker placement is tricky
but it works and really does widen the stereo field.
I'm sure that most old quad gear based an electronic equivalent on this to
get better control and make it more practical.
I've run it for years on the same amp and it seems theres no ill effect
==================================
and to think you got many times more computing power in phone than what landed men on the moon
jeez
