I wanted to mention one thing on this topic (sorry if it was covered, the previous posts confused me a bit):

Did you consider putting in some sort of built-in (switchable) speaker emulator? That could be cool. Perhaps your customer will postprocess the signal either by using software speaker impulses or reamp the signal and in that case it wouldn't be necessary. So that's his/her call of course. Of course that is much more work then the usual recording output.

But my little Behringer GI100 guitar DI box (between amp and cab) has some kind of simple speaker emulator circuit that works quite well. You'd need a few inductors/capacitors to do this, and it would probable be much better than the recording out on most amps.

I guess you H&K Red Box does this also?

Btw, anyone know of a schematic for such a speaker emulation circuit in a recording out? I would be interested and perhaps use it some time in the future.
