Hey guys,
Just have a quick dumb question here...
When installing a 3 prong cord will reversing the wires harm the amp? I mean Green wire to chassis but will it matter if the other two are reversed?

As long as the green wire is attached to ground you are ok. When you hook up a power transformer most people just hook up the two black AC input leads on the transformer, Hot and neutral not knowing which side of the coil of the primary they are attached to. Never seen any issue before but can be set up so so the ground switch to reverse them. The only reason for this is sometime reversing them one way is quiter the then other but I don't see that too often.

Re: 3 prong adaptor quick question.
The black wire of the power cord should go to the fuse and then to the AC switch (SPST), then to one end of the primary winding, and the white directly to the other end of the PT primary winding.
If you use a double pole switch (DPST) you can run the white wire thru the second pair of contacts to positively isolate both sides of the primary winding.

Thanks David, I was overthinking the question and you are correct. I was thinking of just what side of the hot and neutral go into the transformer.
Re: 3 prong adaptor quick question.
Crap, the cord I got has a blue, a red and a green cord. I got the blue going to the switch and the red to the fuse/breaker and the green to ground.
I got the cord from an old chinese external cd-rom for the computer.
Will I mess up anything there if they're not right?

Re: 3 prong adaptor quick question.
You should verify which prong on your cord goes to the hot, neutral and ground of the mains wiring and connect it up as stated, hot to fuse/switch, neutral straight to xformer or dpdt switch and ground to ground. The fuse really should be in the hot line.

Cool, I just found a cord with the proper color coding. Thx for the help guys.
