Anybody have a line on an RV-1 schematic?
Thinking about constructing a stand-alone reverb and surveying prior art. Going by general description, this one seems to be off the usual well-beaten Fender track, with EF86 preamp and 6AL5 type tube used to some mysterious end.
Any other interesting reverb schemos I should consider?
Inspiration welcome!

I would say with the EF86 that might be the reason you don't see them around.
From what I gather, the new production tubes aren't very good and most are microphonic or too noisy to use as a preamp.

Re: Matchless RV-1 schematic?
Well I have a stash of NOS, so I am not bound to new production...but I suspect that even the old ones were often microphonic. EF86 had that reputation before they were reintroduced.
At the risk of an oxymoron, I think the reasons you don't see RV-1s around often is that they were low production verbs. People seem to like them, going by internet chatter. NEver saw a schemo on the unit, even though some of the other Matchless outboard gear is documented.

Re: Matchless RV-1 schematic?
You have probably seen these.
Here is a Danelectro reverb that looks real simple.

And of course the Fender.

Then there is this one, said it was a Supro but the drawing says H.A Dumble.

Thanks, Structo!
Damn, no wonder H.A. Dumble is so famous...the man draws up a nice schematic!
Here's another which like the Supro mentioned above uses a 6DR7 for input and reverb driver. The second section of this tube is a low mu triode which is a good choice to slam electro mechanical transducers such as reverb tanks and speakers.
Also includes trem:

We often used 6DR7 in hifi configurations. You can made a decent one tube power amp out of them. That is an interesting tube to keep in mind.

Re: Matchless RV-1 schematic?
Sorry to drag up the past but what tank would this circuit use? would a 4FB3A1C work?
It also appears to be the same as the Gretsch/Valco 6144 Reverb Unit.
