I have been lurking and enjoying all the discussions for a while and am planning a build. Since I work in an electronics shop there's some parts around I can use. I have some 25 Ohm 25 Watt resistors; if I hook 5 of those in parallel would that be a suitable load for a 4 Ohm Impedance OT?
Also, I can borrow a sig gen but have no idea what level to set it at to give a reasonable input signal. Any ideas on that?
Thanks all!

ps if anyone is interested I can post a picture of a one million watt transistor (that makes me feel like Dr Evil)

Re: Amp testing
Set the Signal Generator to .5mVAC for most testing Make sure to start with the volume down on the amp and plugged into the proper dummy load or speaker cab. take a tap off the speaker out to the o'scope to get your readings
look up the models of test equipment you are using online first and download manual. (most electronic shops have them on file) it's a good idea to read the manual first it often answers most of your questions and gets you familiar with the equipment.
