i want to tear down the ghia and build something else. something more fender like. a john mayer clean tone. that i can use with a nylon acoustic. what would be good.

Isn't the Ghia a 2x el-84 amp? I wouldn't say that's a great configuration for a clean machine. Rebuilding it like an AC-15 or one of the smaller Matchless amps seems like your best bet.

The cleans in an AC15 are wonderful, but not very Fender-like. Also, it gets meaner and meaner as you turn it up, and that is a good thing

I don't have a layout, but here is the scheme I followed. I only built the EF86 channel.
