Generic contact cement... around $22.00 per gallon.

It's like Old Milwaukee, I can tell it's the good stuff 'cuz it comes in a bigger container!

The whole amp market thrives on backorders, my vendors put me on backorder for something just about every damn time. I guarantee I'll never be backordered on the glue I use.

"Good ventilation"... none of that to be had in Maine until April or so! Not if you want to keep the heat inside and the cold outside.

"Explosion warning"... in my case warnings should be prefaced with, "Hey, Dumb Ass..." Don't ask me for particulars but I managed to singe my eyebrows off blowing the fine dust from my sander into an open flame...

No headache today which is a miracle. I took a break yesterday and took a walk down by the old gas plant, that place reeks of coal tar. They used to just dump it on the ground. Not quite an instant Superfund site, it took years. I couldn't smell coal tar but I could taste contact cement.

To the tune of "Blame it on the Rain"... Blame it on the glue, yeah, yeah!!! The first time I heard that song was at a tit bar, I rely on tit bars for exposure to trends in popular music. Show me sumthin' nekked, play me a song, that song will stick wif me forever!

But the easy clean up is a damn lie.
If you use a high grade rubbing alcohol you will find it can be cleaned up. Ussualy best to wait a day, then go over for cleanup.

I tried that. It turned my high grade burgundy tolex into high grade antique burgundy tolex. Color came off. I think I'll try that orange oil based cleaner.
