Squeal

Post by islandamp »

I have a new Plexi 1987 build that has pin 2 and 7 jumped on v1 and a ppimv. If I turn the master past 3 i get a squeal when I turn the bright gain past 6-7. Not loud but a squeal all the same. It sounds like something is getting overloaded with signal at 6-7 and the squeal begins. No guitar or with the guitar is no different.

How about a picture on how the PPiMV was implemented?
Using shielded cable? which version did you use?

Plexi

I don't have a pic yet, but it's a Larmar ppimv. Its a 500k dual pot with 2 2.2meg resistors. Its away from the input and uses shielded cable for both runs.
