jtm 45 clone

Hello, it's really a 2-6v6 JTM 45 clone and I need some advice. I have the hi and lo inputs jumped and the hi input sounds great but the lo input is too bassy for me. Should I lower the lo tone cap from a .022 to a .01(or less), add a bright cap to the lo volume pot, or add a pf cap across the 270k.I want it to have a different character than the hi input. Thanks for any advice!

I should have named the lo input as the Normal channel and the hi input as the Bright channel. Sorry

I assume you have a shared cathode on V1. I'd start by lowereing the bypass cap at that location to say 10uf or less. This might make the bright channel too bright so thenyou'd have to play around with the bright caps on the bright channel.

Hi Andrew,

I'm assuming you have 270k "mixing resistors" right after Vol 1 and Vol 2 leading to the grid of V2. Simply jump the 270k resistor with a 500pf cap and it will be the same as the other channel. There probably is a bright cap on the "bright" channel volume pot as well.
