Laney amps replacement parts.

Post by JohnJankowski »

Anyone deal with them? I’m in the USA and have a Ironheart Studio 15 on the bench. The primary problem troubleshooting is complete and I’m awaiting off the shelf replacement parts.

However, the plastic threaded input jacks are nearly stripped out. They hold, but precariously. The amp is in nice shape and while I could wire something in to replace them, a new jack PCB would be a nice touch to an otherwise excellent condition amp.

Anyone care to comment on ordering parts from Laney? I have the parts list and this product appears to still be in production. This particular amp is 15+ years old.

Thin wall plastic case jacks are a disaster in waiting even if they’re not circuit board mounted.
One trip ( hard yank ) on the guitar cable is all too many times all it takes to bust them up.

Do your customer a favor by up grading his amp and hardwiring in one of these.

You will likely have to drill or ream out the panel hole larger .
