c-clips for fender jewels

Haven't tried this yet but seems like a good idea. 15mm OD c-clips look about right, maybe 1/2 or 9/16" for imperial.

That specific style of c-clip looks like it is call "External Retaining Ring"

I have ditched the regular bulbs for LEDs myself & insert them into the jewel. I have been buying the whole assembly, so it comes with the correct nut. But always nice to have a Plan B.
