6AT6 >> 6AV6? M

Greetings~ I've Googled the hell out of this, & am I 'correct' in that the AV is a suitable shoe-in for an AT??
FWIW, a Harvard clone... thnx ॐ💃

no, 6av6 > 6at6. Probably close enough for a guitar amp but one has more gain. Check Google for datasheets.

The 6AV6 has an amplification factor of 100 like a 12AX7, The 6AT6 has an amplification factor of 70 much like a 6SL7. The pin arrangement is the same.

FYI: 12AT7 is 60, 12AY7 is 40.
