I usually aim for 100%. I like my tubes crunchy and well done! :lol:

Get a little heat sink compound under that MOSFET and it will be even happier.

That's what i'm doing right now. I can leave the amp for an hour or so and the temperature of the MOSFET is plateauing at ~125°F (~52°C), which I think should be satisfactory (its not in an area in danger of being touched).
I build effects and amps and do custom builds to order. Boom.

not sure the question. For a cathode biased amp I usually shoot for 95% dissipation. Do you or others disagree?
bias for any class and any condition, must be under 70-80%.. also A .. you are not getting any more power, just generating heat and shortening tube life ..
but ofcourse you can put also 120% if you want :mrgreen:
