I just got an RSA23 and would like to add the BTR master volume and boost switch. Since it’s a no PCB amp, I figure it shouldn’t be to difficult. Has any one done this?
Another question
This amp has what might be called note ghosting, but I’m not sure if it’s the “good kind,” or not since most of my other amps have pretty stiff filtering and do really do that. The was a post on TGP with a guy complaining about it.
Maybe it needs some filter caps, or stiffer filtering.
I love the amp, but doing some of these this might make it even more useful
Any constructive help would be great

So you do not have a schematic of either amp you can share?

I have my RSA now and a so-so wiring photo of a BTR, but no schematic
If I had a schematic, I would probably have most of the answers I’m looking for already.

No pcb. So its point to point? If that is the case it should be fairly easy to trace and draw a schematic. Without a schematic, trying to help you out is a bit tricky.

Hi,
I have some notes re the BTR23 amp I had in for repair many years ago.
Single cap boost across input cathode resistor and a low value 100K MV after the tone stack.
The low MV value, in my opinion, gave it a unique sound and seemed to choke the TS function. (In a good way) This plus a heap of other interesting innovations used in the amp.
