Nobody asked me, but I'll put in my 2¢ anyway. This locked post discussion has gone in a couple of directions. On one hand, someone is very forgiving and that is something worthy of recognition. On the other, some folks have quite a bit of difficulty with the behavior of the individual. Personally, I was appalled at his behavior. Our mods have been very judicious, even generous, in exercising the nuclear option. FWIW, I find in favor of the moderator. I just don't think it takes much effort at all to keep a civil tone and it's not too much to expect. After all, I'm reasonably sure we come here because we derive a certain pleasure from doing it. We don't need someone spitting in the broth.

Don't get me wrong. I whole heartedly support banning this guy. His behavior went way beyond the threshold necessary to ban him.

In my humblest of opinions: You're not in the wrong. There are several forums I peek at, and the community here is by far the best. Thanks for helping keep it that way.

Stevem: I also appreciate your tenacity with helping solve his problem(s). I understand it kind of sucks when you've invested the time to help someone, only to be cut off before the finish line.
