Just Got this traded In, for another AMP....
Got Home - and I must say... that this AMP is frustrating me A LOT ...
All the hi-end is filtered off i the preamp- just Way too Dark sounding for me.
Does anyone know what caps to clip out to bring back the treble?
Heard the tone talk podcast With friedman and Kidd - and Martin Kidd mentioned, that He had Richie Kotzen Cut some caps out, to bring back some hi-end.

Do you have a schematic and/or can you post some high res closeups of the circuit and controls?

It may not be a matter of clipping, cap values may need to be changed!

I'd be glad to help if a schematic is posted. Otherwise I'm just guessing blind as to what to change.

Cut the red wire. It's always the red wire put there by the butler. 
If you don't have experience on high voltage amps, just trade that amp with another one.
Don't put your hands where there's half a kiloVolt.

If I can find mine I will post it, but there’s a chart somewhere on the Web that list resistor and cap combinations and the frequency they react to/ at.
If you find that it may be a big help in your changing things that amp makes you frown at!
One of the first things i would do would be to clip out any caps of around 2000 pf that might go from a tubes input grid to ground.
