Belton reverb brick

Hi all!
I picked up on of these Belton digi-log reverb bricks to try out in my Sears 1484 and it ships with no wiring instructions and it seems there web site has gone south!

Anyone have a diagram to wire this baby by?

There are a few models and I believe they have slightly different pinouts. Do a google search for the model number on the one you have, sample schematics are on the datasheet. Most of the pedal designs I have seen based off of these are slight tweaks on the sample schematic.

I'm embarrassed to admit this. I got one of these maybe 4 years ago and never quite finished the project. Lou helped along with many others. He had some prototype boards made that worked for someone else. I'm sure if Lou made it, it worked. Maybe he still has them? There should be a thread here at TAG. I think I found it.

I went through a stage of being fascinated with these too. It's been a while - I used the Belton 2H type and designed a circuit and board for the end application of hiding the board inside a short spring tank enclosure, having gutted out the springs. The idea was to use the same enclosure and mounting as a real tank. The circuit allows for options to match input and output levels, and to power it from as little as regulated 5V, and up to 24Vdc. I think I have a couple of the boards left in the desk drawer. Anyone want one?

The biggest issue with these is likely to be the need for 5V. The BT modules need about 300ma of regulated 5V. That's tough to get in a tube amp, although it's pretty simple in most solid state amps. the board has spaces on it for three successive TO-220 regulators to drop incoming voltages down to 5V and at the same time dissipate the heat that makes. I designed the regulator setup so that each of the three regulators would have 2W max in dissipation so an external heat sink isn't needed for up to about 30Vdc for a starting voltage.

Input and output pots allow adjusting input and output levels to match whatever tank you're replacing. You can add loading to fake the input impedance of a real tank (that string of inductors and a resistor at the front). I designed it to replace the phono cartridge reverb in UK Vox amps originally, and then did some broadening to take in all the tanks I could think of.
