Hi all, Where would I be able to obtain one of these period correct resistors, or what would be the better, modern equivalent, and what type is this referred to?
Thanks and be well!

You can see the wire wound around the core, and that type of resistor is known as a "wirewound". Shocking right?
There's no need to go out of your way to find a wirewound that looks vintage, imo.

The regular sandblock variety should be just fine. If you can't find 250 get 270. Those old resistors probably had a tolerance of +/-20% or worse.
