Hey theinteriorleag...In AR, you have access to some great local mills and wood stores. If you are at all skilled with wood tools, you would be surprised what you could come up with. Perhaps you could get access to the U of A wood shop or someone who goes there. Perhaps you could get an EE major at U of A to help you with the electronics as well. BTW...where in Fayetteville are you? I own property out off of Route 412 on Beaver Lake. We will be moving there soon. Perhaps I could look you up. I have a kid that will be looking to get together with some musicians!!!

Re: soliciting for a headshell, powdercoat, and tweak
In response to the question of where in Fayetteville I am....I am just a few blocks from the UA. I didn't think about the shops on campus...I might look into it.
I have gotten the amp to a tech who did a little tweaking and I love the amp. I've got the amp eq'ed enough to enjoy a low gain sound, and a boost gives it a nice sparkle.
Instead of powdercoating, I was thinking I might just get a faceplace made for the amp; this option is much cheaper and will still give me the look I want (a white face for a purple head). I just hope it is thin enough to not interfere with the pots and sliders.
The tech is supposed to get back to me about someone local who might do the head tolexing.
Thanks guys for all the help.
