Hi,
Curious to see if anyone has come across specifications for the PT, OT and choke that are in a Bogner Alchemist. (They are "Chuang Meei" made in Taiwan) This amp has seen its day and I'm curious to see if the big, heavy transformers are up for a re-build into something else. This is a Bogner/Line 6 designed and manufactured amp with probably custom wound PT but still, it must provide conventional outputs B+, heater current and such which could be fine and useful for something. This was a very loud and not so bad sounding amp that gave me over 10 years of good gigging service.
There doesn't seem to be any apparent specs on these in google searches. Of course, if necessary I'll trace where the primary and secondary wires go to and come from, make some measurements, compare with schematic and determine the specs that way but, it would sure be nice to have the illustrated specs to get beyond any guessing or hope!
Thank you,
Phil D.

Just realized this thread should have probably been in the "technical discussion" place.

Re: Finding specs on Bogner Alchemist transformers
If the amps power supply is in good shape and the output tubes also and you have a big enough resistive load to run the amp into up to its max power when the V+ starts to sag then you can figure out a good amount of the specs yourself for both the power and OT transformer with just a modern volt/ ohm / amp meter!
