I have 28 AWG shielded wire for the inputs to V1. I ask because its typically sold in 26 AWG from amp stores.
Any reason not to go this small? Would it also be ok to use 28AWG after the first gain stage?
What sonically or technical differences happen when I use a smaller gage wire? Loss of frequency band?
Thanks

Off of the input jack the current is so low that 28 ga wire is fine and fretting over frequency roll off with the range the guitar covers is a joke!
In full band audio usage it may be a different story!

What stevem said ^^. My only worry is that 28ga is so thin it may break. If your wire is firmly attached at each end, and perhaps fixed in place so it can't sway around in transit, say with a couple dots of RTV or other glue, then why not.
