Has anyone ordered from pedalpcb.com?

I just came across this site and they have a lot of interesting circuits. But they don't list a BOM for the circuitboards. Just wondering if anyone has experience with them.

I'm not familiar with them, but I've built several pedals from Mad Bean Pedals. They just sell the PCB, but offer very thoroughbuild info such as BOM, schematics, drill templates, and offer some mod suggestions for any large number of great projects. Check them out!

I have bought pcbs from pedalpcb in the past. Excellent communication and top quality pcbs.
BOM and schematic are included in the building docs.
Aionelectronics is great too.

I have heard they are great boards from a few trusted Instagram builders. The DMD-2 looks like something I'd love to have in my pedal pile.

Those surface mount chips don't look like much fun to solder in. How will you solder them in without creating little solder bridges between contacts?

If one is going to go down that path to surface mount components your going to need good magnification device to see and small pointed solder tip pre-tinning the solder pads.

Very, very carefully. If you have a hot enough iron, a small enough iron tip and you flow a tiny amount of solder to the tabs on the board and the pins of the chip, installing them is pretty easy if you have a steady hand. Granted, the SMD stuff would be a nightmare for folks who don't have much soldering experience.

I can imagine lots of emails coming their way with "HELP!" as the subject.

I'm interested in building some of the things based on the FV-1. I'd eventually like to do some programing. I really like the Kaleidoscope Delay/ BuGGFX Daydream.

It really isn't very difficult. A while back I bought a Simon game kit to try my hand at it: https://tubeamparchive.com/viewtopic.ph ... 015&hilit= After doing a few components my technique improved, to the point where the u-controller actually looks pretty decent.

There really isn't much to fuzz about SMT soldering. Some decent tools, suitable solder ( 0,3-0,5mm), good light and some magnification. Blacksmiths tools just won't do. Stay away from lead-free solder, at least in the beginning. A reasonable soldering station with suitable tips, properly thin solder as not to overload the joint, some liquid flux in a marker type pen, a few good tweezers.....

You need high magnification as the solder can have whiskers reaching to another solder pad. They can be very hard to see with the naked eye too.
