new gizmo
Greetings again, thought I would share the new gizmo I made today. I try to re-purpose my junk if I can and I came up with a nifty use for a broken down big muff. For a while now I have been wanting to put my dummy load resistors in a switchable configuration. I had an idea using a dpdt switch but i found a schematic online using 1/4 inch jacks with a shunt that gives you a 4/8/16 configuration.I had to simplify it a bit to use what I had on hand. I'm sure this type of thing is old news to many of you. I had no dpdt but I did have all the stuff here to make this. All resistors are 100 watt, the little green one is a lone 2 ohm load for a super or what ever, offset for jack clearance. I doubt I ever have any profound technical knowledge to offer you guys, and many of you have been a big help to me so here is my lame contribution to the forum. I named it the Big Dummy, enjoy.

Re: new gizmo
Made mine with a rotary switch 2 pole 3 positions, but this gizmo is simple and therefore really elegant !
