O'Scope help

Guys

Our small r&d lab is closing so I have a chance to pick up a scope cheap. What specs should I be looking for in a scope for tube amp work? Most of the ones have been used for high freq work, but I wouldn't need that right?

Also there are some freq generators available and I'd need one of those to be my input to an amp. Would a 10 k unit be fine?

Any info greatly appreciated as I've only used this stuff to measure PWM power supplies and the like, never analog tube amps!

You don't need a fast oscope... 20 MHz is plenty... more is better, but the cost rockets up as you go past 100 MHz. Software features are key to me... a good FFT is most important. 4 channel is better than 2, but you won't use those other 2 channels often if at all. I also prefer a scope that has a USB port so I can save traces as .csv files for detailed analysis and record keeping in Excel. Finally, a 100x probe allows you to inspect B+ fear-free.

The one I was "scoping out" was a 30 Mhz model 4 channel with usb too.
Good heads up on the 100x probe that's why I asked here...

Probes are a main concern.
Check max v/div displayed to determine probe multiplier you can get away with.
Good probes are expensive - expect to pay almost as much as you do for the scope.
