Totally a new amp for me and I find the mid control very interesting !
Have anybody try it and know how it works ?

Re: Comanchero Club and mid control
Looks interesting. The mid control is similar to one that Merlin calls a 'bridged differentiator' on page 200 of the 2nd edition of his pre-amp book. The pot in the Club would mainly shift the frequency of the mid cut. The amount of mid cut in Merlin's circuit is set by another pot, which in the Club is 'stuck' according to the 470k to 10k potential divider at the top of the Club circuit.
The connection of the wiper of the pot in the Club to the cathode of the previous stage introduces some feedback around that stage, but only at low frequencies, since that cathode is pretty well bypassed and would hold a constant voltage at mid and high frequencies (especially when the 'DEEP' switch is engaged).

Thanks Malcolm !
Unfortunately I don't have Merlin book, but now when u mention it I remember see something similar before.
Yes it look like the mid only do mid dip
Am looking for a more mid boost, but I guess I have to use half a tube and make a aktiv mid boost.
Ps
Interesting that after so many readers of this post, there is a other European that answer the question

I think it's an interesting design. I like the way that the treble, bass and mid controls will not interact with each other as much as they do in the usual TMB stack.

Yes, and also the placing of the controls, having bass first and treble last is smart.Malcolm Irving wrote:I think it's an interesting design. I like the way that the treble, bass and mid controls will not interact with each other as much as they do in the usual TMB stack.
but the bass control I think can be better whit a dual pot, whit one of the pot controlling the value of the signal cap.

Re: Comanchero Club and mid control
Does your amp have a FVM (Fender Vox Marshall) Tone stack?
Poor mans mid boost by switching in a second cap across the cap feeding the top of the treble control.
The existing cap is usually 270 pf up to 470pF, try a 2n2 switched across it for a mid boost.
Cheers,
Ian
