A little reverb help?

Post by donzoid »

I'm trying to "graft in" a reverb for the first time (ever) into a Huss-style plexi 6v6. The return side is working fine (bump the spring box, I can hear them loud and clear.) but I am sure I picked the wrong spot to take the input signal as I don't seem to be getting any guitar through there.

Thanks in advance - sorry for the caveman drawing.

May not be all your troubles but you need a resistor 1 meg typical) between the driver grid and ground. Without it the grid floats and has no dc reference to the cathode so bias is undetermined.

Thanks sluckey! I'll put one in asap. I was wondering if that had anything to do with it, as I saw it on all the other effects loop/rev circuits I looked at.

Is that spot the optimal place to take my signal send, or is there a better place?
